Hello Avatar! Welcome back for another week of biotech analysis. Today is Sunday, which means this is our Building Biotech newsletter that is focused on discussing biopharma strategy topics. Today we are going to step away and have a bit of fun. Its time to explore the different BioHubs across the United States. The newsletter is inspired by annual BioSpace cartoons which depicts the companies found in each geography. Think this more as a history lesson, driven by BioSpace art. So a bit of a lighter topic - next week we will be back with more hardcore biopharma strategy and are planning to go deep into the emerging autoimmune cell therapy space.
If you're not subbed yet click the link below. Every Thursday we are out with our FREE public/private biotech market update. Sundays are the days we focus on forward looking strategy. Monday’s are for public equity research. Monday’s BioBucks column will feature Day One Pharma which has an upcoming PDUFA decision for Tovorafenib (DAY101) Type II RAFi for Treatment of pediatric patients with relapsed or progressive low-grade glioma (pLGG) harboring an activating RAF alteration. Options pricing suggest 50% volatility!
Please help spread the work by subscribing and hitting the share button if you are enjoying our bi-weekly newsletters!
In 1989, BioSpace published its first Hotbed Map for Biotech Bay featuring companies in the San Francisco area. Others soon followed, including maps focused on the Boston area (Genetown) and southern California (Biotech Beach).
Today we have more of a fun discussion - running through the US Bio Hubs. Each year since 1989 BioSpace releases its Hotbed Map for each of the biohubs. We cant lie, when we were working in the lab, each year we always looked forward to the Biospace mouse pads showcasing our hub.
